CMF Grant Application
Please read instructions below before filling out the following CMF Grant Application.
Applying for a CMF Grant:
Central Montana Foundation Board of Directors meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month to consider minor grant requests under $5,000 and once a year at its annual meeting in May to consider major grants requests, $5,000+.
Minor grants are due the 10th of the month to be considered in the month the application is received. The major grant deadline is April 1.
Only non-profit or or tax-exempt organizations that are registered and in good standing with the Montana Secretary of State and located in Fergus, Garfield, Judith Basin, Petroleum and Wheatland Counties are eligible for Central Montana Foundation grants. If your project is in Denton, Garfield County, Grass Range, Hobson, Judith Basin/Stanford, Judith Gap, Moore, Petroleum County, Roy, Wheatland County or Winifred, your community endowment may have grant funds available. Projects that will benefit educational, medical, essential services, civic and cultural projects are eligible and priority is given to projects that will benefit the most Central Montanans.
CMF does NOT grant funds to individuals, political or religious organizations, or to organizations whose primary purpose it to influence legislation, to participate in or intervene in any political campaigns on behalf of any, or against any, candidate for office. Requests that are discriminatory, illegal or harmful, or which pose an unacceptable conflict of interest to the community are not eligible for CMF funding or grants. Please complete the grant application in its entirety and return it to Central Montana Foundation, PO Box 334, Lewistown, MT 59457. (Grant applications must be mailed and postmarked by the deadlines noted above.) Incomplete applications will not be considered.
